Mid-Autumn Festival 2025: Mooncakes from Candlenut and Cedric Grolet

Whether infused with Candlenut’s signature tea or sculpted with Cedric Grolet’s hallmark precision, each creation reflects a devotion to craft and culture.

“This mooncake is our way of honouring those cherished moments, bringing people together over familiar flavours under the full moon.” – Malcolm Lee, Chef-Owner, Candlenut

This mid-autumn festival, two of COMO Group’s celebrated culinary brands present their interpretation of the mooncake, each rooted in the spirit of reunion.

At Candlenut, the world’s first Michelin-starred Peranakan restaurant, Chef Malcolm Lee unveils his debut mooncake.

The Candlenut Bespoke Tea Mooncake is a limited-edition creation, delicately moulded with a motif inspired by the traditional Peranakan tiles that adorn Candlenut. It reveals a luscious lotus paste, gently infused with Candlenut’s signature tea blend of jasmine, pandan, lemongrass, and oolong — a refined expression of the vibrant flavours that define Peranakan cuisine.

Presented in sets of two, the mooncakes are housed in a Tok Panjang-inspired box, a nod to the long communal tables of Peranakan feasts.

Early bird special ends 12 September. Free delivery for orders of 10 boxes and above.

At Cedric Grolet Singapore, French pâtisserie meets Chinese tradition in a mooncake collection that is exclusive to Singapore. Executive Chef Diego Jesus Alonso reinterprets the form through the lens of Grolet’s twin worlds: fruits and flowers. The result is a refined offering of four traditional baked mooncakes and five signature chocolate-shell confections.

The baked series pairs French technique with Chinese tradition. Each box will present four flavours, including a pecan-studded vanilla croustillant in vanilla lotus paste to chocolate Azuki bean paste, candied orange bound together with a delicate nougatine crunch.

The signature chocolate-shell series returns with Grolet’s multi-textured creations in five flavour profiles, including raspberry with buttery shortbread, pistachio layered in four forms: ganache, gel, sponge, and crisp, and peanut ganache and caramel in banana gel. This collection is available in a set of two, with the option to mix flavours.

Whether steeped in tradition or reimagined through artistry, these mooncakes offer more than indulgence, but an invitation to gather, to remember and to celebrate beneath the season’s full moon.

Pre-orders are now open, with collection at Cedric Grolet Singapore from 10 September to 6 October. Complimentary delivery is available for orders above $1,000 nett to a single location.
